We encourage parental help in school
No particular skill is necessary, just a willing pair of hands! Help currently extends to reading, art activities, trips and extra-curricular activities.
Home-School Agreements
The school seeks to develop this positive partnership through the involvement of the school, parents and pupils in formulating a ‘Home-School Agreement’. This agreement establishes a foundation for learning within the caring and purposeful ethos at school. You receive a copy on enrolling your child at Ysgol Llandrillo.
In summary
Parents have the responsibility to ensure that children arrive at school well prepared and in good time.
They have the responsibility to ensure that homework is completed and that their child reads aloud as often as possible at home.
Teachers have the responsibility to communicate with the parents on a regular basis and provide information concerning achievement and progress.
Photographs
We take numerous photographs of the children’s activities, both in and out of school.
They may appear in our newsletter and also on our website. During the year your child may also have their picture taken for the local newspaper. A permission slip will be given to you to sign when your child joins the school.
Should any of this cause any problems please notify the school.
Newsletters
We send out an electronic copy of the Newsletter every week packed with details of everything going on at school. It can also be e-mailed to parents/carers/grandparents, etc.
‘Friends of the School’ (FOTS)
We have a very hardworking and enthusiastic Friends of the School. All money raised helps to pay for many extra things which we would otherwise be unable to afford.
