A number of our staff are first aiders.
Mrs Mellors, Mrs Ferns and Mrs Carnell have attended a four day course and are qualified first aiders at work. Many of our staff have also attended the one day first aid training.
All members of staff see to the usual cuts and bruises which occur during the day. If a pupil becomes ill in school then parents/carers are contacted for the pupil to go home. Please complete the form provided to indicate alternative contacts during an emergency.
A pupil who uses an inhaler, EpiPen or other specific medication should have this marked with his or her name.
Please let us know any helpful medical information about your child e.g. disabilities or allergies. Please inform us of changes of address, telephone numbers and also any situation of circumstances at home or in the family, which might affect your child’s behaviour or work in class.
Child Protection
The Department for Education and Employment and the Welsh Office
guidance make it clear that schools and colleges have an important role
to play in the protection of children against abuse.
This is
confirmed by the Policy of Conwy County Borough Council, which sets out
the necessary procedures to be followed by all staff.
Ysgol Llandrillo therefore has a duty to refer any concerns about the well being of pupils to the Social Services Department and School Medical Officer for further advice.
