The school is organised into 14 classes to accommodate approximately 400 full-time pupils and 1 Nursery class providing 0.5 education.
Children are grouped according to age on a mixed ability basis.
The number of children in each class is usually 30 pupils.
We have two form entry and within each class, children are organised into mixed ability, flexible groups, changed to suit tasks or needs of the children.
Teachers work closely together planning and discussing work to ensure continuity and progression for all children throughout.
Between the ages of 4 and 7, pupils receive 21 hours of teaching during a normal week. For pupils aged 7 and above, this increases to 23 hours and 20 minutes.
Breaks and assemblies account for the balance.
Pupils receive homework on a weekly basis in accordance with our Homework Policy.
